Indian Rocks Beach Gem - Renovated 2BR Beach House

If you are looking for a convenient, clean location close to the beach, bars and some restaurants this is the place ....If you'd like to cook a few meals beware. This was the most poorly equipped kitchen I've ever stayed in -- miniature silverware and cheap or damaged cookware. In addition, the VRBO listing when I signed up said "LAUNDRY' which means a washer and dryer and neither exist. The owner when I pointed this out offered NO reduction in the rent or told me where the "laundry" was actually located. It is 3 buildings over by the pool and by the time I found it I had already gone to a real laundromat elsewhere. I would NOT have rented the place if I knew there was NO washer/dryer. I think the owners have taken "laundry" out of the listing, but I can't verify that. The shower door had come off the tract, one toilet was wobbly and the unit contains NO welcome book that would have instructions, suggestions and information about the rental. There was limited info sent by e-mail and some written material tacked to the living room wall. The listing in January, which is when I rented this, was deceitful and yet the owners never tried to make it right with me. I've been a VRBO owner for 17 years and know there are mistakes and misunderstandings that are sometimes made, but I have always resolved them. A DISAPPOINTMENT !

This property is a duplex, not a stand alone home as implied. There is only one allotted parking space a the owner is likely renting out the other parking space which is highly inconvenient. The middle of the home is sinking at the foundation level, and causing walls to separate from the ceilings and doors to jamb. One bathrooms shower door fell off its track, the back bathroom sink was clogged, and the railings on the front upper deck are loose / falling off. The beds are cheap and small (4 twins in the back bedroom and one cheap queen in the front bedroom. THe front (main) bedroom has no attached bath. While the location is convenient, and the unit has been updated inside, you can find better accommodations for the same price in the area.

The location was great! The hosts were very accommodating!!! They were super fast to respond to our inquiries. And very informative! If i could give a 4.5 I would! The house was adorable and we felt extremely comfortable and safe there. The deck could use a little work and there was cracks in the ceiling in the living room that took away from the rest of the of the house. I 10/10 would stay there again. Quick walk to the beach made this place perfect for our little vacation.
